Fire Extinguisher Recycling
Old fire extinguishers should not automatically be treated as general waste.
Kiwi Hygiene Supplies provides a fire extinguisher recycling service within the Christchurch area. Where an extinguisher remains in suitable working condition, it can be collected and exchanged for a recycled extinguisher, similar to an LPG cylinder exchange.
Recycled extinguishers are pressure tested and supplied with the appropriate certified label and certificate. This process helps extend the usable life of existing equipment and reduces the number of serviceable extinguishers being sent to landfill.
We can also assist with on-site servicing, pressure testing, certification and refilling.
